Hugoton Gathering System

Overview

The 1,953-mile Hugoton Gathering System provides gathering service to the Hugoton Field and is primarily located in Seward, Stevens, Grant and Morton Counties of Southwest Kansas, and Texas County in Oklahoma. Three levels of gathering service are being provided, vacuum, 100 – 200 psi, and 250+ psi.

The Hugoton Gathering System, connected to the Satanta plant, is 51 percent owned by Pioneer Natural Resources Corporation (Operator) and 49 percent owned by Anadarko. The Hugoton System= extracts NGLs, LNG and helium and delivers residue gas into Kansas Gas Services and Southern Star pipeline. The system is also connected to DCP Midstream's National Helium plant, which extracts NGLs and helium and delivers residue gas into the Panhandle Eastern pipeline.

Anadarko is the largest customer on the Hugoton Gathering System with approximately 85 percent capacity of the system throughput during the year ending Dec. 31, 2012.
