Benjamin M. Fink
Chairman of the Board
Benjamin M. Fink was named Chairman of the Board of the general partners of Western Gas Partners, LP and Western Gas Equity Partners, LP in November 2018, and has served as a director on both boards since February 2017. He served as President of both general partners from May 2017 to November 2018 and as and Chief Executive Officer from May 2017 to January 2019. He previously served as President, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of both general partners from February 2017 to May 2017, and as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Western Gas Partners, LP’s general partner from 2009 to February 2017 and of Western Gas Equity Partners, LP’s general partner from its formation in September 2012 to February 2017.
Prior to his current positions, Mr. Fink was Director, Finance of Anadarko from April 2007 to May 2009, during which time he was responsible for principal oversight of the finance operations of an Anadarko subsidiary, Anadarko Algeria Company, LLC. From August 2006 to April 2007, Mr. Fink served as an independent financial consultant to Anadarko in its Beijing, China and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil offices. From April 2001 until June 2006, Mr. Fink held executive management positions at Prosoft Learning Corporation, including serving as its President and Chief Executive Officer from November 2004 until that company’s sale in June 2006. From 2000-2001 Mr. Fink co-founded and served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Meta4 Group Limited, an online direct marketer based in Hong Kong and Tokyo. Previously, Mr. Fink held positions of increasing responsibility at Prudential Capital Group and Prudential Asset Management Asia, where he focused on the negotiation, structuring and execution of private debt and equity investments.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and he is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Robin H. Fielder
President and CEO
Robin H. Fielder was named director and President of the general partners of Western Gas Partners, LP and Western Gas Equity Partners, LP in November 2018 and was named Chief Executive Officer of the general partners of Western Gas Partners, LP and Western Gas Equity Partners, LP in January 2019.
Ms. Fielder has more than 15 years of midstream, upstream and financial experience in the oil and natural gas industry. She previously served as Vice President, Investor Relations, Midstream Business Advisor and a number of other roles of increasing responsibility including General Manager of East Texas and North Louisiana, Worldwide Operations Business Advisor and various exploration and operations engineering positions in both the U.S. onshore and the deepwater Gulf of Mexico.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University. She is a registered professional engineer in the state of Texas and a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
Robert G. Gwin
Robert G. Gwin has served as a director of the general partner of Western Gas Partners, LP since August 2007 and previously served as Chairman of the Board from October 2009 to November 2018. Mr. Gwin also served as President of the general partner of WES from August 2007 to September 2009 and as Chief Executive Officer from August 2007 to January 2010. Mr. Gwin has served on the board of the general partner of Western Gas Equity Partners, LP since September 2012 and previously served as Chairman of the Board from September 2012 to November 2018.
Mr. Gwin is President of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation and previously served as its CFO from March 2009 until his promotion in November 2018. He joined Anadarko in January 2006 as Vice President, Finance and Treasurer and was named Senior Vice President in March 2008. He also serves on the board of directors of LyondellBasell Industries N.V. (NYSE: LYB), having served as its chairman of the board from August 2013 to September 2018, and serves on the boards of The Greater Houston Partnership, Theatre Under the Stars (TUTS) and Communities in Schools (CIS). Mr. Gwin holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute.
Daniel E. Brown
Danny Brown has served as a director of the general partner of WES and WGP since November 2017. Mr. Brown is Executive Vice President, U.S. Onshore Operations, with responsibility for Anadarko’s upstream and midstream activity in Colorado, Texas, Utah and Wyoming. He previously served as Executive Vice President, International and Deepwater Operations, Senior Vice President, International and Deepwater Operations and Vice President, Operations for Anadarko’s Southern and Appalachia Region. Mr. Brown has nearly 20 years of experience in the oil and natural gas industry, beginning his career in 1998 with Kerr-McGee Corporation. He has since held a variety of positions within Anadarko, including Vice President, Corporate Planning, General Manager of the Maverick Basin and the company’s Freestone/Chalk area (U.S. onshore), Business Advisor for Planning and Reserves Administration in the Gulf of Mexico, and in engineering positions in both the U.S. onshore and the Gulf of Mexico.
Mr. Brown holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and a MBA from Rice University, where he was a Jones Scholar Award recipient. Mr. Brown is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Texas and serves on the Board of Advisors at the World Affairs Council.
Thomas R. Hix
Mr. Hix has served as a director of the general partner of WGP since January 2013, and currently serves as a member of the special and audit committees of the board of directors. Mr. Hix has been a business consultant since January 2003, and previously served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Cooper Cameron Corporation from 1995 to 2003. Prior to joining Cooper Cameron, Mr. Hix held several executive finance and accounting positions in the energy industry, and has significant expertise in finance and accounting, as well as experience in mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Hix currently serves as a director, Chairman of the compensation committee and a member of the executive committee of Rowan Companies plc. He previously served as a director of El Paso Corporation from 2004 to 2012 and as a director of Health Care Services Corporation (a Chicago-based company operating through its Blue Cross and Blue Shield divisions in Illinois, Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico) from 2004 to 2017. Mr. Hix holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas Tech University and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
Craig W. Stewart
Mr. Stewart has served as a director of the general partner of WGP since January 2013, and currently serves as a member of the special and audit committees of the board of directors. Mr. Stewart served as a director of RMP Energy Inc. from 2011 to May 2017, having served as its Executive Chairman from 2011 to January 2017, and as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of a predecessor entity, RMP Energy Ltd., from 2008 until 2011. Mr. Stewart served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Rider Resources Ltd. from 2003 to 2008, and prior to joining Rider Resources, held various executive and director positions with companies in the energy industry. Mr. Stewart holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Business from the University of Calgary.
David J. Tudor
Mr. Tudor has served as a director of the general partner of WGP since December 2012, and currently serves as Chairman of the audit committee of the board of directors. Mr. Tudor has also served as a director of WES’s general partner since April 2008, and currently serves as Chairman of its audit committee. Mr. Tudor served on the special committee of the board of directors of WES’s general partner from April 2008 to December 2012.
Mr. Tudor has more than 30 years of experience in the energy industry, including electric generation assets, wholesale commodity trading and utility management. Currently, Mr. Tudor serves as Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Associated Electric Cooperative, a member-owned, member-governed wholesale power provider serving Missouri, Iowa and Oklahoma. Prior joining Associated, he held other notable leadership positions, including:
- President and Chief Executive Officer of Champion Energy Services, a retail electric provider serving residential, governmental, commercial and industrial customers in a growing number of deregulated natural gas and electric energy markets throughout the United States.
- President and Chief Executive Officer of ACES Power Marketing, an Indianapolis-based commodity risk management company owned by 21 generation and transmission cooperatives throughout the United States.
- Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of PG&E Energy Trading.
Mr. Tudor holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from David Lipscomb University, Nashville, TN.
Mitchell W. Ingram
Mitchell W. Ingram was named a director of the general partner of WES and as a director of the general partner of WGP in November 2018.
Mr. Ingram is Executive Vice President, International, Deepwater and Exploration, overseeing Anadarko’s international and deepwater operations, including Global LNG, exploration and project-management. He previously served as Executive Vice President, International & Deepwater Operations and Project Management. Mr. Ingram joined Anadarko as Executive Vice President, Global LNG, in 2015 with more than 28 years of experience in the oil and natural gas industry. Prior to joining Anadarko, Mr. Ingram was with BG Group, where he served as Executive Vice President – Technical and a member of the company’s Executive Committee. Previously, he held positions of increasing responsibilities with the company’s LNG project in Queensland, Australia, where he was most recently the Managing Director of QGC. Prior to BG, Mr. Ingram was with Occidental Oil & Gas for 20 years, where he held several U.K. and international positions in project management, development and operations.
Mr. Ingram is a member of the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association’s Queensland Industry Leadership Group and the Business Council of Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical engineering from Robert Gordon University and is a native of Scotland.
