Donald R. Sinclair
President and CEO
Donald R. Sinclair has served as President and a director of our general partner since October 2009 and as Chief Executive Officer since January 2010. Mr. Sinclair has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer and as a director of WGP GP since September 2012. He was named a Senior Vice President of Anadarko in May 2013, prior to which he served as a Vice President of Anadarko beginning in January 2010.
Prior to joining Anadarko and becoming President and a director of our general partner, Mr. Sinclair was a founding partner and served as President of Ceritas Energy, LLC, a midstream energy company headquartered in Houston with operations in Texas, Wyoming and Utah from February 2003 to September 2009.
Mr. Sinclair has worked in the oil and gas industry for over 33 years, with a focus on marketing and trading and the midstream sector. He is the Chairman of the Advisory Council for the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University, a member of the Board of Directors of the Texas Tech Foundation, Inc., and also serves on The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Board of Visitors. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Texas Tech University.
Robert G. Gwin
Chairman of the BoardRobert G. Gwin has served as Chairman of the Board of the general partner of Western Gas Partners, LP ("WES") since October 2009 and has been a director since August 2007. Mr. Gwin also served as President of the general partner of WES from August 2007 to September 2009 and as Chief Executive Officer from August 2007 to January 2010. Mr. Gwin has served as Chairman of the Board of the general partner of Western Gas Equity Partners, LP ("WGP") since September 2012. Mr. Gwin is Executive Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. He joined Anadarko in January 2006 as Vice President, Finance and Treasurer and was named Senior Vice President in March 2008. He is also Chairman of the Board of LyondellBasell Industries N.V. (NYSE: LYB) and serves on the boards of The Greater Houston Partnership, Theatre Under the Stars (TUTS) and Communities in Schools (CIS). Mr. Gwin holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute.
Mr. Carroll has served as a director of the general partner of WES since April 2008, and currently serves as Chairman of the special committee of the board of directors. He also currently serves as Chairman of Houston-based CenterPoint Energy, Inc., where he has been a director since 1992. Mr. Carroll is Chairman and founder of Instrument Products, Inc., an oil-tool manufacturing company in Houston, Texas. He also serves as Chairman of Health Care Services Corporation (a Chicago-based company operating through its Blue Cross and Blue Shield divisions in Illinois, Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico) and as a director of Halliburton Company, LyondellBasell Industries N.V. and LRR Energy, L.P. Mr. Carroll holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology from Texas Southern University.
Steven D. Arnold
Steven D. Arnold was appointed as a director of our general partner and as a member of the special and audit committees of the board of directors in February 2014. Mr. Arnold served on the board of directors of Spectra Energy Partners, LP’s general partner from 2007 to December 2013, and served on that board’s audit committee as Chairman and on the conflicts committee. Mr. Arnold is engaged in private investment management and consulting services in Houston, Texas through 3 Lights Management Co., serving as its President since inception in 2000. Mr. Arnold has over 10 years of institutional investment management experience with Prudential Financial, Inc. Mr. Arnold brings a strong risk assessment and strategic expertise to the board.
James R. Crane
Mr. Crane has served as a director of the general partner of WES since April 2008, and currently serves as a member of the special and audit committees of the board of directors. In November 2011, Mr. Crane became the principal owner and Chairman of the Houston Astros Baseball Club. Mr. Crane is also Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Crane Capital Group, Inc., an investment management company he founded. Crane Capital Group currently invests in transportation, power distribution, real estate and asset management. Its holdings include Crane Worldwide Logistics, a premier global provider of customized transportation and logistics services with 54 offices in 20 countries, and Champion Energy Services, a retail electric provider. Mr. Crane was Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of EGL, Inc., global transportation, supply chain management and information services company based in Houston, Texas, from 1984 until its sale in August 2007. Mr. Crane also serves on the board of directors of Nabors Industries Ltd., an international drilling contractor and well-services provider. Mr. Crane holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Safety from University of Central Missouri.
Darrell E. Hollek
Darrell Hollek has served as a director of the general partner of WES and WGP since May 2015. Mr. Hollek is Executive Vice President, U.S. Onshore Exploration and Production of Anadarko. He previously served as Senior Vice President of Operations (Deepwater Americas) and was responsible for overseeing all of Anadarko's producing assets, operations and development activities in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico.
Mr. Hollek began his career in 1980 with Kerr-McGee Corporation as a field engineer in Morgan City, Louisiana, and has held positions of increasing responsibility including Vice President of Gulf of Mexico Operations and Global Deepwater Drilling, Vice President of Offshore Operations and Shelf Assets, Vice President of Gulf of Mexico and Worldwide Deepwater Operations, Vice President of U.S. Onshore Exploration, Production and Development, Vice President of Gulf of Mexico Exploration, Production and Development and Vice President of Environment, Health, Safety and Regulatory.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
Mr. Hollek is a member of the American Petroleum Institute and the Society of Petroleum Engineers. He also serves on the board of The Offshore Energy Center and the National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA) and on the CEO Council for the Gulf of Mexico Foundation.
Robert K. Reeves
Robert K. Reeves has served as a director of the general partner of WES since August 2007 and as a director of the general partner of WGP since September 2012. Mr. Reeves is Executive Vice President, Law and Chief Administrative Officer of Anadarko. He joined Anadarko in March 2004 as Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Law. He has also served as a director of Key Energy Services, Inc., a publicly-traded oilfield services company, since October 2007. Prior to joining Anadarko, he served as Executive Vice President, Administration and General Counsel of North Sea New Ventures from 2003 to 2004 and as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Ocean Energy, Inc. and its predecessor companies from 1997 to 2003. Mr. Reeves holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Juris Doctor degree from Louisiana State University.
David J. Tudor
Mr. Tudor has served as a director of the general partner of WES since April 2008, and currently serves as Chairman of the audit committee of the board of directors. Mr. Tudor served on the special committee of the board of directors of WES’s general partner from April 2008 to December 2012. Mr. Tudor has also served as a director of WGP’s general partner since December 2012, and currently serves as Chairman of its audit committee.
Mr. Tudor has more than 30 years of experience in the energy industry, including electric generation assets, wholesale commodity trading and utility management. Currently, Mr. Tudor serves as Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Associated Electric Cooperative, a member-owned, member-governed wholesale power provider serving Missouri, Iowa and Oklahoma. Prior joining Associated, he held other notable leadership positions, including:
- President and Chief Executive Officer of Champion Energy Services, a retail electric provider serving residential, governmental, commercial and industrial customers in a growing number of deregulated natural gas and electric energy markets throughout the United States.
- President and Chief Executive Officer of ACES Power Marketing, an Indianapolis-based commodity risk management company owned by 21 generation and transmission cooperatives throughout the United States.
- Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of PG&E Energy Trading.
Mr. Tudor holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from David Lipscomb University, Nashville, TN.
